A Just Man

Summary: Farmers, preachers, and shipbuilders, generations of the Matthews family struggle to live according to God's will. Through the Revolutionary War, droughts, and floods, they strive to hold firm to their belief in the love and forgiveness of their Creator, but will the outsiders they take into their homes and hearts reaffirm or destroy their faith?

A book that goes through different generations in a family during trying times. Filled with many lessons shown through the characters lives.

-Thomas doubts that God exists, and with his father away in the war he hardly has a reason to thank God for the things that have happened. When he makes a journey to bring his father supplies, not only will he be tested, but it may just be the start of his faith. This is only the start of a collection of lives in one book.-

Written through the perspectives of different generations, and the story of how a family sticks together and stays strong in the faith.
The book has a lot of good lessons throughout it. The perspectives changed as multiple stories went on through the story that all connected.  The author did an excellent job writing the story. Originally I wasn't sure if I would like the book, but as i continued reading, i really enjoyed it. It is written in a different style than most read nowadays, but it is worth it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
