Wild Thing

Back Cover: Twelve-year-old Winnie Willis has a way with horses. She can gentle the wildest mare, but other parts of her life don't always come as easily. Along with her dad and sister, Lizzy, Winnie is learning how to live without her mom, who was also a natural horse gentler. As Winnie teaches her horses about unconditional love and blind trust, God shows Winnie that he can be trusted too. Readers will be hooked on the series' vivid characters, whose quirky personalities fill Winnie's life with friendship and adventure. In #1 "Wild Thing, " Winnie's fearful heart finally begins to trust God again as she tries to gentle the horse of her dreams, Wild Thing.

As a horse lover and having a younger sister in love with horses, Winnie the Horse Gentler was a great series to read, and for young girls who love horses. I loved reading about Catman and all of Winnie's friends, and the tips they offer through their program at the pet store.
The first of 8 books, Wild Thing is about Winnie after another hard move to a town where she doesn't know anybody. With her love of horses she soon helps a horse everyone else deems unbreakable and call her "Wild Thing".
This book is definitely a great read for girls who love horses, and love to read.

I would rate this book 4 out of 5 stars

  1. Hello God's child. I am so blessed to know you through your profile on the blogger and the blog post which gives me an opportunity to share with you about the program our church in Mumbai, India has for the young people as well as adults from the West. Believe me this is not an accident that I have come across your profile and the blog post on the blogger. I believe that this is divine leading to your profile and blog post. I am in the PASTORAL MINISTRY for last 35yrs in this great city of Mumbai a city with great contrast where richest of rich and the poorest of poor live. We reach out to the poorest of poor with the love of Christ to bring healing to the broken hearted. We also encourage young people as well as adults from the West to come to MUMBAI on a short / long term missions trip to work with us in the slums of Mumbai during their vacation time. This is some thing great that you have a missionary call to go to India. Here is the vacancy for you to come and be with our church working in the slums as well as with our church by getting involved in taking bible study for women and youth group as well as conducting sunday school for the children from non Christian background, leading English speaking fellowship worship services and preaching the Word of God in the church services. I have been praying for such young person who would come for a longer time to build our English fellowship. My email id is: dhwankhede(at)gmail(dot)com and my name is Diwakar wankhede. Looking forward to hear from you very soon. May you have a blessed and joyous Christmas season and a very prosperous and Christ centered coming new year.
