Review:
It had been a while since I had read the first book, but once I was refreshed on all of the details and storyline, I was excited to continue reading the next book in the saga.

Willet Dura was one of two who had survived the Darkwater, but he didn't leave untainted. Because of the darkness that is still in his mind, the Vigil do not trust him.

With the dwimnor about, an assassin who is unseen by all except the young, the Vigil take young apprentices to watch for the invisible enemy. But while the Vigil fight to survive, Dura also fights to find out who their enemy really is. Trying to prove that he isn't the enemy, Dura and his companions search for the hope of the protector of the evil in the Darkwater- the Sentinels

The story was just as captivating as last time, and i am eager to what happens next. It left at such a cliffhanger! There is still so much unknown, and I can't wait to find out how the enemy will be fought, but also discover who Dura really is.

The Princess and I Cover Reveal

I am so excited for my friend Rebekah Eddy. She is releasing her latest book, The Princess and I, and I am happy to take part in her cover reveal. I beta read for her a few months ago, and can't wait to see the finished product.

About the Author:
Rebekah grew up surrounded by family members who appreciated and read good literature. First, she fell in love with the stories her parents read aloud to her from the Bible and books like The Chronicles of Narnia, Great Expectations, The Hobbit, and Anne of Green Gables. After learning to read on her own, she discovered other fantastic books which helped to build her ever growing imagination.

She completed her first written work at the tender age of eight and now uses it to humble herself whenever the need arises. The story did serve to show her that God had given her a desire to write, however, and from that moment on Rebekah has never looked back or regretted picking up her pencil and becoming an author.

This eighteen-year-old homeschool graduate lives in rainy Western Washington and is currently working on receiving her BA in English in order to further her passion for creating worlds on paper.

Review:

I was super excited to sign up to review Abi's book, as a lot of other fellow readers who beta read it were raving about the book. I have gotten to know Abi in the past few months, and am excited that her book is now out in the world.
It has been so long since I have read a book like Martin Hospitality and I have missed reading this style of book. The book was just so homey and had such a sweet story line. I loved all the characters, and it had a great message as well. It reminded me a lot of one of my favorite author's writing style, and I have to say it made me love Martin Hospitality even more.
Gemma and Josiah were just so sweet, and I loved them so much, as well as the whole Martin family. The book had some very sweet and comical humor, and I look forward to reading the next Martin story.

Review:
When I first began to read the Seer books, I was a bit hesitant, but overall excited. With each book Rachelle writes, you can see two things. Her growth as a writer, and how each book is better than the last. I enjoyed the Choosing. It had a message young girls need to hear, and then with the Calling and finally the Returning, each message and story got better and better. Yes it may be set in a dystopian world, but it is not the old cliche type setting that's story has been told in similar and plentiful ways, It is in its own area of writing. Rachelle has created an amazing new world, where the cliche just doesn't even fit in. I found myself quite enjoying it.
So when I saw that the third book in the series was finally coming out, I was stoked to be able to get my hands on it. Set 20 years after the second book, so much has happened, yet not so much that you feel left in confusion. When Carrington and Remko had to leave their newborn child, you were left with such heartbreak, but now you are able to see her and what has happened to her.
I loved the character development with Elise and Willis, and then Jesse. Rachelle did such a good job with each of her characters, making you grow attached to them, secretly rooting for some while totally despising others.
I also loved how the authoress showed the spiritual warfare going on. I love stories that show the Light vs. the dark, and I feel like Rachelle did a wonderful job showing what was going on.
Is the Seer series one I would recommned? Yes it is. The series is a new dystopian world and has a creative and captivating storyline, as well as amazing characters,

I love Biblical Fiction. I especially am a fan of the Exodus, so getting my hands on Connilyn's new books were a must. The detail she put in her books were amazing. I felt like I was right there with the Israelites as they traveled, and experienced it in a new way. And her characters were amazing. A lot of the characters from the previous book were in Shadow of the Storm as well as new ones. I really enjoyed Connilyn's writing style. She wrote in a way I hope to one day write when I try my hand at biblical fiction. A lot of the biblical fiction I read, I don't always enjoy. There are some things that I just don't fully grasp, or am not particularly excited about. But Connilyn's books were amazing. Out of the books I have read, these have been my favorite. It could be because of the time the stories are set in, or just her writing style. Either way, I am excited to read more of her writing.

There was a lot of things going on during the story. It is set during the time right after the Israelites have left Egypt, and are in the desert. The main character, Shira, was one of my favorites. She was a minor character in the previous book, and it was exciting to read what her story was. She had a lot of things she went through, and because of an event that happened, she is even more hurt and confused. Not telling anyone what is truly going on. But despite all that happened to her, I loved her in the book. She had people who greatly disliked her continually putting her down, a mother who didn't fully understand what her hopes where, a man who lied to her, and children and pregnant mothers who depended on her. Despite all, she still forgave. She learned to continue on despite her problems and to learn from her mistakes.


Do I suggest this book? Definitely. If anyone loves Biblical fiction, than this series is one you must read.
