Hope Runs

                                           Cover Art

Hope Runs is a story where Claire visits an orphanage in Kenya for an overnight stay, only to have her heart stolen by the children there. After she and her best friend decide to stay longer and start a running program for the kids there, fifteen year old Sammy takes a special place in her heart. Only to find that their time together is soon coming to an end.

Hope Runs showed the story from Claire and Sammy's personal perspectives, their troubles and fears, as well as their hopes. It was cool reading how they formed a special bond with each other and were able to see each other in the U.S. As  each are going through their personal trials, they get to cherish the time they have together.
It personally wasn't a big "I love this book!" but I do like it, though this is my personal opinion, you'll have to read it to find out what you think! :)

For Such a Time is an exciting book taking you back into the times of WW2. As Hadassah Benjamin, Stella Muller, is saved from a firing squad she becomes a secretary for Aric von Schmidt, who is a commandant for the Nazis. As she is burdened with the task to type out the deportion lists for the Jews in the camp nearby, she comes up with a daring plan, a plan to save her people.

I enjoyed this books a lot! I am a big fan of historical fiction, and especially for the time period of WW2, so I was excited to get my hands on this book. I think Kate Breslin did a wonderful job taking the Book of Esther and turning it into a story during the time of WW2. This book was very exciting, and is well written. You get attached with the characters as each is going through an emotional time, as every character has a difficult decision to make.
If you are looking for a well written book that is historical fiction, that this would be a great book!

Overall I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
